What do you think of transition lenses?

Transition lenses is when the lenses change from light to dark when exposed to UV rays from the sun.  Transition lenses are also known as photochromic or photochromatic, which refers to a specific chemical reaction the lenses have to ultraviolet (UV) radiation.

So what do I think of transition lenses?

I like them.  To me it saves you money so you do not have to buy a prescription pair of glasses and a prescription pair of sunglasses.  One thing to consider when thinking about purchasing a pair of transition lenses is that the lenses will not get dark if not exposed to UV light, for example, while driving in your car.  One of the jobs of your windshield is to block out most UV light therefore, your transition lenses will not get dark.  Another thing to consider while contemplating transition lenses is that when they are exposed to UV light they do not get VERY dark as some people might prefer a darker lens color while in the sun.

If you decide to get transition lenses you are doing one thing important…protecting your eyes!  Keeping your eyes safe is the best thing you can do starting early in life.

Stay fabulous!
